MAROUBRA BEACH – THE PLACE I CALL HOME
Wednesday August 7th, 2013The name “Maroubra” is an Aboriginal word meaning place of thunder. It is describing the sound of the ocean waves pounding against the rocks. This is my little place on earth, the place I call home. If you are planning a trip to Sydney make sure to pop out and say hello.
Maroubra Beach is one of the most popular surfing beach in the world but much quieter and more downmarket than its neighbouring Coogee Beach or Bondi Beach.
Maroubra beach can be windy and wild, can be serene and dreamy, can be romantic, can be anything you want. It is worth to visit and spend at least one day far away from the hassle and bustle. It is only 10 kilometres south-east of the Sydney Business District and easy accessible by bus from Sydney centre. So I guess, see you here one day…
